Last week we went for a walk to the park. It was a beautiful warm evening. Once we got to the top of the hill, the full moon appeared from behind the clouds shining very brightly in the middle of the sky. We took lots of photos and after a while decided to go home. We were on the path leading out of the park when Anton noticed two foxes running around, down the hill. They were quite close to us so we stopped to watch them. I tried to film them on my photo camera, but it was a bit too dark. We knelled on the path to see them better, we looked around noticing that on our left there was another fox two or three meters away from us. It seem not to notice us until this moment. It turned back and ran away into the darkness. The other two foxes disappeared as well so we decided to follow the third one. Then we saw a fox running up the alley and another one just simply sitting in the middle of a grassy slope, overlooking a street. We came down to the street and went as close to the fox as possible. It definitely noticed us, but wasn’t afraid at all. It was just sitting there relaxed watching us, same as we watched it. Then the other one came and sit down near by the other one. We were standing there looking at them until we felt it was time to go home. On the way back we saw another fox running near by the cathedral. It was an amazing experience. I’ve never seen foxes from so close.
This park seems to be full of friendly animals. I remember the squirrel that came to me in winter. I knelled on the path to take some photos of it. It came very close to me and even tried to steal some shopping from my carrier bag. It is nice to see animals being comfortable with people, rather than being afraid of them.
