I have an old funny lucid dream story from my childhood.
In my dream I left the house for school and noticed that the world looks amazingly bright, shiny and beautiful. I felt very light and ecstatic and thought to myself wouldn’t it be really great if this would be a dream. If so I could just skip the school and go to a park instead. I began thinking how can I make sure that I am dreaming. I figured that if this is a dream I must be still in my bed so if I reach out my hand I should touch the floor. I did so and could feel the floorboards under my fingers. It was a great feeling.
I become partially lucid in my dreams quite often but so far I did not learn to trigger it and to control it. I am having a partial success with a crocodile spirit. I asked it to manifest in my dreams. It did and I became aware of it during the dream.
I was in a big, green city full of canals. Hundreds of flying saucers were in the sky and all the canals filled up with super intelligent crocodiles. I realised these crocodiles must be manifestation of the crocodile spirit I asked for. I decided to find one. I walked along the canal and noticed a woman leaning towards a big crock. It seemed like the crock is speaking to her ear. I went to them and leaned towards the crocodile to hear what it says. It said ‘do not open your ear to me.’ The dream ended.
Recently I dreamed the crocodile again but this time I made noises at it and it mimicked me. I gave it a slice of ham as a ‘thank you’. Maybe next time we will have a conversation or it will take me somewhere. We will see…

I’m a little out of practise but I got quite good at lucid dreaming at one point and have a number of interesting stories to tell.
I first noticed I could do it as a child. More often than not I would use my awareness that I was dreaming to either fly or wake up. I chose flight when the dream wasn’t threatening. However one time I was in a dream with a scary ‘murderer’ coming out of a back alley, and I realised it was a dream and ‘woke up’. However, I only dreamt that I woke up and when I opened my bedroom door the ‘murderer’ was standing there!
I loved flying dreams, they felt so unreal. I always felt so disappointed that I could transfer the skill into real life.
When I was learning chaos magic I did some dream work as part of the process. One time I became lucid when trying to pay for food in some kind of bar or tavern. The currency in my wallet looked unreal and I gained lucidity. I asked the waiter if it was dream currency. He told me that if I couldn’t pay, he would have to chop my head off. I told him he couldn’t do that because I was a magician, and with that I clicked my fingers and disappeared, leaving him standing there confused…
I’m a little out of practice too, but still have lucid dreams regularly (once or twice a month), but they usually don’t last very long (because I’m out of practice). It’s like I’m a beginner and have to learn it all over again, but I don’t really get a chance for proper practice. The problem with willful OBEing is that there’s always a big chance that because of practice I can’t get enough sleep, and most of the time, during Abramelin, I need all the deep sleep I can get. So I too, have to wait until this is Abramelin thing is over. Out of Body experiences are incredibly awesome and I still hope that I get the chance to become a more proficient out of body traveler and write a book about my experiences.
I’ve had my first out of body experience somewhere between 23 and 25, followed by a second one about a year later. When I was 27 however, I began to Lucid Dream and Astrally Project regularly and have been doing so ever since. There are periods when I have OBE’s/Lucid Dreams almost daily, and there may have even been periods when I didn’t have a lucid dream for months. Last couple of months I’ve been having one or two lucid dreams per month but I didn’t even bother writing most of them down, because, I woke up in a dream, tried to fly to a rooftop and as soon as my feet left the ground I woke up with an adrenaline rush, doesn’t make a very interesting story (this described my last lucid dream, couple of days ago). I can’t really count the number of dreams/OBE’s I had similar to this one.
But the topic put forward here made me open and look back into my old OBE diary. It’s really strange to read most of these experiences. I’m coming across some really awesome experiences while I can’t even remember most of them anymore. Having had a lot of these experience, and a lot of them within a short time frame might of course be the reason for this, but still it’s curious how easily the mind is able to forget mind blowing experiences like these.
Since some of these experiences are of a private nature (because they deal with my private life etc.) I just looked for one which is more neutral to share. I found the following (and have to translate it from dutch):
Date: September 8, 2011
I found myself out of body in my bedroom and decided to pay a visit to the stars. I was curious as to what I would encounter up there. So I looked up at the bedroom ceiling and began to fly, first slow, through the bedroom ceiling, and through the roof of my house. Then I flew faster, and faster, until eventually I was flying faster than a bullet would out of a gun. The feeling was incredible, and I felt indescribably powerful and free at that moment. Then I felt myself leaving the earth’s atmosphere, but instead of ending up in silent space, where I expected to end up (in my mind I already saw satellites flying by), I ended up in a different sphere altogether. [My senses must have shut down here, or some astral travelers call it the Void, basically just a place which is all black and you can’t see anything. I do remember seeing the starry heaven just before I left the atmosphere, but this could be a false memory.]
I didn’t feel very comfortable in this place so I decided to fly even higher. The act of flying raised my frequency, and almost immediately I was back to awesome. The moment I was beyond awesome and felt awesome-issimo I decided to halt, and look around to see where I had ended up. Below me I saw a beautiful skyscraper. With its dark colored mirror glass walls it looked very stylish and very modern. I decided to investigate this building more closely, so I flew down and quickly found the entrance. So I walked in, and was once again astounded by how incredibly real and physical this place seemed to be. So I’m standing there, in this entrance hall and I’m simply using my hands to feel all these materials around me, like the texture of the floor, and walls, until eventually I end up feeling a big red metal locker. There were about ten of these there, all standing in a row, all of them numbered, which made it clear to me that there must be about ten apartments in this building. But before I got the chance to count them and find out the exact number, I was surprised by the sudden appearance of a small man right next to me. He was somewhere between 1 meter 50 and 1 meter and 60 centimeters in height. His hair was white and the look on his face was very friendly. His hand reached to shake mine, and not only did I shake his hand, I couldn’t stop myself from hugging him soon after. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not in the habit of hugging strange men I just met, but since it had been a while before I encountered someone during OBE who didn’t either want to rape me [succubi] or scare me to death, I was really happy to find someone who didn’t for a change. I was about to explain this and a lot of other things to this little man, but before I could do so he buzzed me telepathically and explained that he understood. Sharing thoughts with someone on the astral is really a very intimate experience, and you immediately get a strong sense of who you’re dealing with. This little man was wonderful.
With a smile and a waving hand he invited me to follow him into his apartment. “What’s your name?” I asked. “Mini..”, he answered, while I walked behind him up the stairs to his apartment. “Obviously..”, I jokingly muttered. I thought about having to write all of this down when back in my body later, so I looked around with big eyes, and tried to get in as many details in as possible. I was once again astounded by how real the in reality fluid matter around me felt, and looked.
Once we arrived at his apartment I suddenly realized that I had been out of body for a while, without my physical body calling me back. I concentrated on my physical body for a moment, and could feel it somewhere very far away, but instead of being jerked back I felt I had a choice, to either stay or go back. An obvious choice of course, since I was having quite the time and absolutely no reason to go back.
We are in his apartment, which seemed to be a large L shape, really big and with a very high ceiling. The short space of the L was the entrance and before the corner of the L there were three small steps. Around the corner and at the end of the L was a very large window. Mini walked toward the inside corner of the L which was made out to be a kitchen, and while I placed myself on the small steps, Mini proceeded to make tea. “Mini is a nickname, right?” I asked in the hope of this colorful person telling me his real name. “Yeah.. So is Laura..” he says with a serious expression on his face. I looked at his face and just had to laugh.. I understood what he meant.. All names are nicknames in a way. We both laughed.
“You don’t happen to have a puzzle for me?” Mini suddenly asked. I was taken aback for a second, not just because of the quick change of subject, but also because we were both in the Astral realm, where all your dreams come true just by wishing them to be true. But instead of expressing my thoughts about the matter I decided to be polite, since I was still nonetheless a guest in this friendly man’s house. So I decided to materialize a puzzle for Mini, and first thought about tangram, but then realized that it would be easier to visualize and materialize a Rubik’s cube. I opened my hand in front of me and went to work. I tried hard to materialize the cube in my hand, but with my earthly mind still bound by the physical laws of flatland I couldn’t find enough power of believe within me to accomplish the feat. So I closed my eyes and tried to force myself to believe that there was a Rubik’s cube taking shape right behind me. I looked behind me to see if it had worked. What I found was a transparent Rubik’s cube. I tried to grab it, but even though I could feel some resistance, my hand grabbed right through it. Mini, who hadn’t moved and still stood at the kitchen table gave me a kind smile. I closed my eyes again, and tried to make the translucent shape or frame which I created more physical. I opened my eyes again and discovered that tens, or maybe a hundred, cubes lay around spread through the whole apartment. The floor, the table, nothing was spared from Rubik’s cubes. I picked up one of them and noticed that it was much smaller then the regular Rubik’s cube. Mini had taken it upon himself to teach me something about the power of the mind. [It took me a day or two to understand why these cubes were much smaller. Not that I really needed the proof, but it was once again proof that neither Mini or the environment I found myself in was a product of my mind, or in other words they are really out there. It was my intent to create a normally sized Rubrik’s cube. I was fully aware and would never decide to trick myself and create mini-sized cube’s. At least this is highly unlikely. The fact that it took me two days to correlate mini-cubes with a small sized person is further evidence. At least it is for me.]
I stood up gave the cube in my hand to Mini and smilingly said “Here you go.. A puzzle!” Mini couldn’t stop laughing. Then he handed me a cup of of the tea which was finally ready, and he asked me to follow him into the living room. “The living room?” I thought. This apartment was already really big, and I couldn’t imagine where the living room could be since no living room was in sight, but I hadn’t noticed another staircase close to the outside window. Once again I followed him up the stairs which led us to a room in which the ceiling was at least as high as downstairs. “I’m really happy to experience this,” I explain my host, “I’ve wondered for a long time how people live in the Astral.”, and suddenly I get this blackout which lasts for a couple of seconds and then I find myself in the same room with Mini. “Do you ever experience blackouts?”, I ask him. “Behind..”, he answers, but before I could get the rest of his answer I found myself back in the physical, listening to the bells of the church ringing 8 times. I think they woke me up, which wasn’t the first time. But that’s a different story…
